Debut String Orchestra
Led by Conductor Nadia Petriw , the VYSO Debut Orchestra offers an introduction to the string orchestra experience, with emphasis on the establishment of strong ensemble basics in a playful environment.

Bursaries are available, and are awarded based on financial need.
Volunteer Commitment
Musician/Parent Participation is vital to the health and success of the VYSO, which is a non-profit community organization. We rely on the generous volunteer participation of members and their families throughout the concert season. Volunteering can be immensely rewarding—wonderful friendships are forged, and parent volunteers set a positive example for their musicians.
2023-2024 Season
We ask for a 5-hour annual commitment from each family, which can be fulfilled by musicians and/or family members.
