Junior String Orchestra
Led by Nadia Petriw, the VYSO Junior Orchestra guides musicians through a continued development of rhythm, sound, educational focus on ensemble, musical styles, terms, concepts and youthful repertoire.

Volunteer Commitment
Musician/Parent participation is vital to the health and success of the VYSO, which is a non-profit community organization. We rely on the generous volunteer participation of members and their families throughout the concert season. Volunteering can be immensely rewarding—wonderful friendships are forged, and parent volunteers set a positive example for their musicians.
2026-2027 Season
We ask for a 5-hour annual commitment from each family, which can be fulfilled by musicians and/or family members.
