About VYSO
The Apollo Initiative is a collective of six British Columbia youth orchestras that has commissioned and recorded a new work by Juno award-winning Canadian composer Jordan Nobles to raise funds in support of youth mental health in BC.
The Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra (VYSO) is a dynamic, independent, non-profit organization that is recognized throughout the lower mainland for its fine, multi-level orchestral training program. Our mission is to nurture and develop young musicians, both artistically and as individuals. We are dedicated to providing young musicians with the opportunity to discover, to explore, and to realize their potential in an environment that is both secure and challenging.
